Randy M. Loayza serves on the Public Defense team. In this role, he provides administrative and logistical support for NACDL’s public defense portfolio, with a substantial focus on the Sixth Amendment and NACDL’s Justice For All grant. Randy also supports the Public Defense team in drafting educational resources, increasing web content accessibility, and managing events.
Randy graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Government. His undergraduate research spans topics of immigration, assimilation, justice, and identity—with a focus on immigrant political socialization and its institutional barriers. He previously worked for multiple DC think tanks and policy-based nonprofit organizations. Prior to that, Randy campaigned and interned for Congressman Ami Bera.
